Since 2017 our members have invested over £180 million through our platform into 103 single companies. At the time of our investment, these companies ranged from pre-revenue to series C stages. See our Portfolio.
Wealth Club has historically led on most of its deals; however, we are now prioritising co-investments alongside trusted partners. We work closely with a select group of UK funds and investment platforms, sharing company data, due diligence and funding allocation. This can help enhance the level of support and funding provided to portfolio companies.
We are also happy to be introduced to reputable investment partners at the time of a fundraise. If we can align our interests before committing to an allocation, we are happy to co-invest alongside a partner introduced by a fundraising company.
The typical size of Wealth Club’s allocation per round is £500k to £1 million (although, we could raise more if a deal is popular with our members) and we usually participate in follow-on rounds.
The majority of our investments are in technology companies providing Software-as-a-Service along with health tech, life sciences, media, e-commerce, edtech, travel, property, biofuels and agriculture.
- We look for companies with the following characteristics:
- Reputable mid/high level co-investors (funds, family offices, investment platforms)
- Innovative, tech led and preferably with valuable IP
- Demonstrated recurring revenues (approximately £1 million+ ARR)
- Strong management team
- Defensible market position
- Potential to scale profitably
- Potential to attract buyers and achieve a profitable exit
We have also funded, and are happy to consider, small Management Buy Outs (MBOs). Criteria for us to consider an opportunity of this type would be:
- Established businesses generating maintainable EBITDA of c.£1 million to £3 million
- Management teams who have been running the day-to-day operations for years.
