Scan.com has built a digital platform to give patients fast, easy access to private scans (MRI, CT, Ultrasound) without a GP referral, with transparent pricing and expert clinician support. Launched in 2017, it now operates in the UK, US and Germany.

The company is currently the fourth largest holding in Triple Point Venture VCT, which invested a total of £1.8 million in 2022 and 2023.

PolyAI has created advanced voice AI assistants for customer service, designed to sound and act like human agents. Pre-trained on billions of conversations, the AI agents can understand intent, context, and emotion and resolve between 50% and 75% of inbound calls entirely autonomously.

PolyAI was backed by the Amadeus Early Stage EIS Fund in 2019. 

Phlo is a digital pharmacy approved by the NHS that allows patients to order and manage their NHS and private prescriptions online. It offers same-day delivery, reminders of repeat prescriptions and the option to speak to a pharmacist by phone, email or chat. Today it has 89,000+ registered patients and manages 14,500+ deliveries per month.

Par Equity led a £9 million Series A round in 2024, with the EIS and KI EIS funds investing £1.1 million.

Founded by the former MD of Deliveroo, Sessions is a food licensing business.

It provides emerging food brands with the technology, data, and distribution network to scale into national franchises. It initially operated a food hall in Brighton. Now it sells meals through a network of over 400 delivery kitchens and high-street partners.

Guinness Ventures invested a total of £5.4 million through Guinness EIS in 2021, 2022 and 2024.

Peppy is a gender-specific healthcare employee benefits provider. The platform uses live chat and virtual consultations to give users access to expert healthcare providers entirely free, via their employer. In 2018, it was the first to launch menopause support as an employee benefit.

The platform is used by over 250 enterprise businesses, including Adobe, Disney, and Accenture.

The company is a current holding of the Albion VCTs, which invested a total of £6.8 million in 2023.

Award-winning Flagstone is a cash deposit platform enabling corporate and individual clients to place their cash into a choice of 60+ banks, with exclusive and market-leading interest rates. Clients can manage their multiple bank accounts through the Flagstone portal. Today, Flagstone reports it administers £17 billion for its clients (2025).

Wealth Club investors backed Flagstone – one of our single company investments – in 2022 and in 2024, they were given an early opportunity to partially exit, when the company received a £108 million investment from a US private equity investor.

Experienced investors can get exposure to companies like Flagstone (albeit not Flagstone itself) by investing in Wealth Club’s single company deals.

Evaro is a digital health platform that makes getting prescriptions for minor health issues fast and easy, without a GP appointment. Patients fill a 2-minute questionnaire, which is reviewed by licensed clinicians. If approved, the prescription is delivered directly the next day.

In addition to providing treatments for more than 80 conditions directly to patients online, Evaro's technology integrates into the websites of partner companies, enabling them to provide pharmacy services.

The company is a recent addition to the portfolio of the Albion VCTs (£7 million investment) and Guinness EIS and VCT fund (£2 million investment).

Veremark is a background screening platform for pre-employment checks like criminal records, education, identity, and employment history verification. It can reduce risks for companies and improves the candidate experience through fast, data-driven checks in over 150 countries. The platform is used by a wide range of companies, from startups to global enterprises in sectors like fintech, tech, professional services, and energy.

The company is currently the tenth largest holding in Triple Point Venture VCT, which invested a total of £910,000 across 2020, 2022 and 2023. SFC Capital also invested £103,000 in 2019/20 through its SEIS Fund. 

Gravitee has created an API management platform. Put simply, the platform acts as a gatekeeper for a company's data and software services (APIs). It allows businesses to manage, secure, and monitor how different applications share information, ensuring it happens safely and efficiently.

The platform is used by hundreds of global enterprises and organisations across industries, both in the private and public sector, from Michelin and Roche to Eurostar and the Swedish Pensions Agency.

The company is a current top-five holding of the Albion VCTs, which invested a total of £15.1 million in 2021, 2022 and 2025.

Magic AI has created the world’s first AI-powered fitness mirror, recognised as one of TIME’s World’s Best Inventions in 2024.

Its AI monitors user posture, range of motion, and pace, providing live audio and visual feedback to deliver a personalised workout. Users can customise their training to achieve specific goals, track performance metrics and access a library of tailored workout plans. The idea is to make personal training accessible to a broader audience. Within its first year, the company surpassed 5,000 customers across 38 countries, with users logging over 46,000 hours of training.

Magic AI was backed by SFC Capital through its Angel SEIS fund in 2022 and its All-Star EIS Fund in 2024, investing a total of £263,000.

Cambridge University spinout Nyobolt has created advanced lithium-ion batteries that charge fast and pack more power into a smaller size. Nyobolt’s energy storage and fast-charging technologies are delivering up to 20x more power, charging in minutes and cutting downtime for even the most power-intensive applications to zero.

After making history as the first company to successfully charge an electric car battery from 10% to 80% in under five minutes, Nyobolt recently decided to focus on powering warehouse robots. Nyobolt's batteries can give food and goods picking robots six times more energy capacity and last for ten times longer than traditional lithium-ion technology.

Nyobolt was backed by university spinouts specialist Parkwalk through the University of Cambridge Enterprise Fund. 

XYZ Reality is a construction technology company that helps builders eliminate errors by replacing 2D blueprints with 3D holograms.

The company has created an "engineering-grade" augmented reality (AR) headset which allows workers to see a digital 3D model of the building projected directly onto the physical construction site, with 3-5mm accuracy. By catching errors before they are built, it can save time and prevent costly "rework". To date the technology has been used in projects with a combined value of more than $14 billion, saving $135+ million in rework costs.

XYZ Reality was backed by the Amadeus Early Stage EIS Fund in 2020 and 2021. 

Oxford BioTherapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company that develops advanced, targeted cancer drugs. It focuses on using the body's own immune system to kill cancer cells while sparing healthy ones, using its proprietary database – one of the world's largest collections of cancer protein data – to find markers on the surface of cancer cells.

In late 2025, OBT secured a strategic partnership worth over $1 billion with Roche and another with GSK – both pharma giants seek to use Oxford BioTherapeutics's platform to find new cancer targets.

The company is a current top-10 holding of Calculus VCT, which invested £350,000 in 2020.

C4X Discovery is a drug discovery company that aims to help design better, safer new medicines faster and cheaper than with traditional methods. It uses proprietary technologies that enable accelerated drug design and help determine a patient’s likelihood of response to therapy.

The company has two commercially partnered programmes with Sanofi and AstraZeneca, and one clinical-stage candidate which has been acquired by Indivior.

The company is a holding of Calculus VCT, which invested £600,000 in 2016.

Oxford University spinout Refeyn has created technology that can "weigh molecules with light", effectively inventing a new scientific technique of mass photometry.

The company's bench-top mass photometry instruments, developed and manufactured in Oxfordshire, have attracted rapid adoption across pharmaceutical and academic research laboratories worldwide. Refeyn has now expanded internationally (US, Japan, Germany) and reached over 500 global installations.

The company was backed by university spinouts specialist Parkwalk through the Oxford Innovation Fund (EIS). The fund sold its holdings for a 10.3x return in September 2022. Past performance is not a guide to the future.
